National Public Defenders of Liberia (NAPDOL)
The judiciary plays an important role in stabilizing the balance of power within government and in enhancing public confidence in the government. The right to a competent, independent, and impartial tribunal is articulated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
About Us

The National Public Defenders of Liberia was established to ensure that every citizen, regardless of socioeconomic status, has access to quality legal representation. Rooted in the principles of justice and equality, the organization has been a cornerstone of Liberia's judicial system.
Since its inception, the NPDL has worked tirelessly to defend the rights of indigent citizens across all 15 counties of Liberia. Our public defenders are stationed at courts throughout the country, providing critical legal services to those who cannot afford private counsel.
Through partnerships with international organizations and the Liberian government, we continue to strengthen the justice system and uphold the rule of law for all Liberians.
